So far, I've only really thought about the ways in which my smartphone reduces productivity (games, et cetera) and prevents me from unwinding (my email seems to beg checking). And I'm pretty sure it makes me a more productive (or at least efficient) person. Having said that, I probably waste a lot more time now playing with the phone when I could be doing other things.
