2009 is all but a memory – 2010 is just around the corner. This is the time of year where the small business owner has a little voice chirping in the back of their head — even during the Christmas parties — even during the Bowl games. That little aggravating voice is saying something like this:
“…so…what are you going to do in 2010 to grow your business? Ideas?…”
Admit it. You hear that little voice starting after Thanksgiving and on into the month of December. We generally just ignore it and hopefully by the third week of January it has given up on you and just quietly goes away. Or maybe we grab a piece of paper on Dec 31 and jot down four or five little “resolutions” for the upcoming year…you know the routine.
Well – whatever you decide – I thought I’d throw a little holiday cheer in and give you four ideas to start with – something that might stir you into action! Here we go:
1) Take a good look at your website and decide what the status is. Is is it working for you? Are you happy? Or is it “just there”? Maybe a professional like myself could give you a free analysis and throw some ideas and options your way.
2) Ditto for your blog. How often is it updated? Let’s put a plan together for the upcoming year. If you don’t have a blog – stop right now – call Dennis at 678.642.8281 – schedule an appointment. A blog isn’t optional anymore. A blog can be your best sales tool.
3) Do you have a social media strategy? You need one.
4) Do you have a geo-targeted search marketing campaign? Translated into plain English: Are you showing up on the first page of Google when someone searches for what you sell? If not – there are some very affordable and effective options out there. Let’s get with it. The Yellow Pages just don’t get the job done anymore.
Well – there is a short list of things you might want to look at as you decide how to approach 2010. We would love to help you – give us a call or fire off an email and we’ll buy the coffee. Let’s talk.
Merry Christmas – Happy New Year!
