Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduces Faces.
The mobile product will focus on three major features, he said: It will allow users to share where they are with their friends; allow them to see who is near them; and allow them to discover new places around them. And company executives were quick to push Places’ privacy controls in an effort to stave off criticism that has plagued Facebook during the past year.

So, be sure that your place of business claims their Page and start to acknowledge those that are checking in. Up to date, not enough businesses have taken advantage of people checking into their business. Think of people checking in as a list. And the saying still holds true… “the money’s in the list” When someone checks in at your place of business, friend them, follow them. And then check in at your place all the while telling people what is going on…specials, etc. Leverage that asset!
Believe it or not, not doing social media right can actually harm your business.
